Answers to Your Top Questions About Trees and Plant Health

Why does my tree look unhealthy even though I water it regularly?

Trees can face various issues beyond water, including pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies. Our plant healthcare experts can diagnose the problem and recommend a tailored treatment plan.

Is it normal for my tree to lose leaves at this time of the year?

Seasonal leaf drop is normal, but if it's excessive or happens at the wrong time, it could be a sign of stress, disease, or pests. Our team can assess the situation and recommend appropriate measures.

Why are there spots on my tree's leaves?

Leaf spots can result from fungal infections or pests. Our plant healthcare services include targeted treatments to address these issues and promote your tree's overall health.

Why are the leaves on my trees turning yellow?

Leaves typically change color in Portland around mid-October. However, if you notice changes, yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and poor overall vigor, these are indicators of nutrient deficiencies and a sign that your tree is "hangry." Our experts can conduct soil tests and provide customized fertilization plans to ensure your tree gets the nutrients it needs.

Why are my tree's branches dying?

Dead or dying branches may be a result of diseases or pests. Our arborists can assess the extent of the damage and recommend pruning or other treatments to save the tree if possible.

How do I keep my trees healthy?

Our plant healthcare professionals regularly inspect plants for early signs of disease. We also offer preventive treatments to safeguard your trees from potential threats.

How much should I water my trees and shrubs?

Our experts can assess your tree's water needs based on its species and current conditions and recommend proper watering techniques to maintain optimal health.

Can you help revive a stressed tree?

Yes, our plant healthcare services include treatments to alleviate stress and promote recovery for trees affected by construction, changes in soil conditions, or other environmental stressors.

What are the signs that my shrubs need professional plant healthcare?

Look for symptoms like wilting, discoloration, unusual spots on leaves, or stunted growth. These signs may indicate underlying issues that our experts can address through specialized treatments.
